Bryson & Wren

4B Farm is owned by Bryson and Wren Westbrook and the four B’s: Beau, Belle, Bonnie and Bennet.

Bryson and Wren met in 2000 at Tulane University in New Orleans where he was a standout on the football field and she was studying Art History. He was a farm boy from Georgia and she grew up in Baton Rouge. As they say, Opposites Attract.

The first time Bryson brought Wren back to his family farm in Georgia, he asked her if she wanted to “ride through the cows.” “Sure!” she replied, envisioning a scenic drive through the pastures looking at cute baby calves. He grabbed their herd book and they were off. Four hours later they had stared interminably at each cow in 3
different pastures. Bryson made sure to go through every set of papers, cross- referencing the calves, watching their gate and evaluating their feet and udders. By now Wren’s allergies had flared, her eyes were watering and her nose was running…and she knew it was love. Not for Bryson, quite yet! But that Bryson certainly had a love for cattle and that he was back in his element. It was clear to this “city girl” that a future with Bryson would most definitely involve cows.

Fast forward 20+ years, 4 children, countless hours on the farm and 1 underlying truth: When you seek God, love your spouse, and follow your passion then the good days will always outnumber the bad.

THE FOUR B’S

Beau

Beau’s interest in the family farm is very strong and he has been helping Bryson ever since he was tall enough to press in the clutch on the tractor. He plans to stay on the farm and is currently managing our growing poultry operation along with pursuing his welding certificate. Beau graduated from Burns High School where he enjoyed playing football. His accomplishments on and off the field earned him many honors and contributed greatly to the team’s success. Beau also enjoys hay production and would like to expand 4B Farm into row crops in the future. He is Bryson’s right hand man and plays an important role in keeping 4B Farm moving forward.

Belle

Belle has a natural passion and way with the cattle. She helps maintain the registrations and chute side lists of documentation. She shows interest in bloodlines and has competed on the state level through FFA in livestock judging, placing very well within the state. She also works in maintaining the farm doing the majority of the bush-hogging along with fence building and painting. She was honored in serving as the 2023 North Carolina Hereford Queen. Belle plans on attending a formal university and pursuing a path in agricultural studies and business. Her future is very bright and we are eager to see what she brings back to the table for 4B Farm.

Bonnie

Bonnie works hard on the farm building and painting fence along with cleaning trucks and tractors. She also helps either with lists at chute side or refilling syringes when working cattle. Bonnie always has a great attitude and is willing to help do whatever is asked of her. Her real passion, however, is classical ballet and she is one of the top students in both her dance and academic classes. Bonnie certainly brings creativity and artistry to the family business.

Bennet

Bennet has picked up countless sticks and rocks on new ground as our pastures have expanded. Luckily, he already has a good work ethic and a natural gift for operating equipment. He is interested in tractors and machinery, but also enjoys the cattle and can always be found helping, regardless of the chore. Following in family tradition, he enjoys playing football and won the county Championship this past year. We are excited to see how his passions develop and how is roles will expand at 4B Farm.
